Lead guitar and always creating new songs for Cachaï.
Already at age of 6, he started learning music in school, adapted to young children. Soon he played music on a toy guitar that was actually his brother’s. At the age of 9, he got his first real guitar. Playing along with the record collection (mainly blues and rock music) from his parents, he taught himself to play the guitar. He would also start composing his own songs.
At the age of 15 he stood for the first time on stage with a garage rock band playing his songs, sharing the stage with the band that would later be known as K’s Choice. He would go on playing in a local funk rock band called “Mind the Gap” and with the Ambient Metal band “Maya” he released two albums in 1996 and 1997. They would tour extensively in Europe and earn a cult following.
Moving to Brussels in 1998, he would get to know to other cultures, which influenced his guitar playing. Studying classical music theory and composition at the Conservatorium in Antwerp and Brussels improved his understanding of music in general. After having played in a few other bands, he would end up jamming with some friends. This would then become Cachaï.
